Quantity Surveying Careers - Fun, Opportunity, Reward!

You will need to be an excellent communicator and work as part of a team.  Site and office based, you will be on the move and no two days will be the same.  Variety is the key element of this role.

 

CAREER PROGRESSION

As a team player, you will be given plenty of opportunities when you qualify to follow a route into a senior management role.

 

JOB ROLES

Quantity Surveyors oversee all of the project costs, from creating budget estimates to negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors.  Depending on the size of the job, you could be dealing with budgets running into millions of pounds - so you need to be financially astute.

Your role is to ensure the commercial success and viability of a project, but your responsiblity could evolve to cover an entire business unit!

 

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

You will follow a structured, accredited training path, linked to the Chartered Institute of Building or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - leading to Chartered Status and the option for further progression.
