HMP Bronzefield PFI
for HM Prison Service
This is a brand new category B prison housing 450 female prisoners, built on the site of the old Ashford Remand Centre. Twelve places are dedicated to a Mother and Baby Unit, with ten places set aside for a High Dependency Unit.
The prison consists of nine, two-storey houseblocks constructed from precast concrete modular units, incorporating two cells per module to maximise prefabrication of the building structure.
This PFI project is operated by Interserve's long-standing prison operator partner United Kingdom Detention Services.
