Interserve Wins £20m Little Marlow Upgrade With Thames Water

16 Apr 2003

Interserve Project Services has been awarded the contract for the Little Marlow Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade by Thames Water Utilities. The contract, worth in excess of £20 million, will provide a new Biological Nutrient Removal Plant at Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

Work on the contract will begin immediately and is expected to be complete early in 2005. The new plant will improve the quality of water discharged into the River Thames, replacing the existing works and also treating the flow from High Wycombe. Once the project is complete the existing High Wycombe facility will be redeveloped for housing.

The Little Marlow contract is the latest in a number of improvement schemes at sewage works across the region undertaken by Interserve for Thames Water. Jon Griffiths, project manager at Thames Water, commented, "Interserve has shown that it has both the technical skills and the right attitude. We've developed a positive working relationship and are looking forward to bringing these improvements to the local area."
