Interserve Wins Devon County Council Framework

27 Nov 2002

Interserve Project Services has added to its long-term workload by winning a five-year framework agreement with Devon County Council.  Interserve has been selected as one of six framework partners to help deliver the County Council's £200 million construction works programme.

Interserve will share in building contracts worth around £40 million p.a. including schools, libraries, care centres and other public facilities. After the initial five years, the County Council will have the option of extending the partnership for a further three.

The work will be carried out from Interserve's long-established Exeter base, which operates throughout the south west of England and already has many successful building projects to its credit in Devon.

The County Council is among the first in the country to adopt a partnering procurement route for its construction work and selected its new framework partners from 88 companies that originally submitted bids.

Commenting on the agreement, Interserve director John Vyse said, “This deal with Devon County Council represents exactly the kind of relationship Interserve is aiming to build. We share the council’s belief in a long-term partnership approach and we’re looking forward to delivering some first-class facilities in Devon.”
