This was the Royal Navy's largest public event of the year, and has been proclaimed a great success recording 50,000 visitors over the three days (up 20,000 on 2002).
To assist with these numbers Interserve agreed to support the event and sponsored a comprehensive transport network involving coach, train and ferry options throughout Plymouth. This system was so successful it has been suggested that this be a model for future events.
The theme for the event was the Amphibious Force and the centrepiece of the event was a daily action display involving aircraft, ships and Royal Marine Commandos. There was also the opportunity for visitors to board Royal Navy ships and submarines and meet the crew.
