Interserve, operating as MacLellan, surpassed many security companies by achieving approved contractor status with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) in no less than four categories.  MacLellan is the first in the facilities management sector to be granted approved status in the disciplines of security guarding, door supervision, CCTV and vehicle immobilisation.

"Accreditation from the SIA across so many services will give our customers the ability to outsource most of their security needs to us," said Bruce Melizan, Managing Director, Interserve FM Ltd.  "Outsourcing security requirements as part of a bundled facilities services package has already proved an efficient and cost-effective option for many client companies.  This new standard of SIA accreditation reflects the reality of the wealth of experience which we have gathered over many years." 

Recognition by the SIA ensures that every private security service from MacLellan is fully compliant with current legislation and affords customers the peace of mind that the highest professional standards are being applied.  Security already forms a significant element of many of Interserve's and MacLellan's key contracts, from HMRC/DWP Newcastle Estates to The Mall at Cribb's Causeway.  The security services which the company offers are part of an overall portfolio of more than 100 soft and hard facilities services.
