Interserve Joint Venture, Landmarc Support Services, wins 2007 BIFM Award

25 Oct 2007

Landmarc Support Services (a joint venture company between Interserve and CSC ATD) and Defence Training Estates (Home Counties) have won the 2007 BIFM award for 'Best Practice in a Fit Out Project'.

The £2.5m refurbishment project at Brunswick Training Camp in Surrey transformed four basic accommodation blocks into comfortable and energy efficient homes for around 500 new recruits whilst their existing barracks were rebuilt.

The project was delivered on-time and in-budget to a challenging six month timescale whilst working closely with the Carbon Trust to introduce carbon saving measures resulting in a projected 50% reduction in carbon emissions.

Stephen Utley, Project Director, Landmarc Support Services said: “The commitment from the project team to take ownership of the job and get the work done was incredible.  We are delighted to win this award which has recognised team work at its best.”

Lt Col Andy Westcott, Commander DTE Home Counties said: “Without a partnership based on trust and a common goal between our facilities management provider, Landmarc, ourselves, T A Mather & Co and more recently, the Carbon Trust, this project would not have been possible.”

Landmarc and the Defence Training Estate are also finalists in the Premises and Facilities Management Awards’ category Partners in Multi Service with results due on November 6th.
