Interserve enjoys international success in the Caribbean

15 Apr 2008

Interserve has been awarded two contracts with St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited in St. Vincent and The Grenadines in the Caribbean.

The contracts include the supply, installation and commissioning of two 33/11kV substations, together with the supply, erection and commissioning of 20km of overhead lines and 3km of cables in the ground, all of which is to be completed in an 18 month period.

These contracts continue Interserve’s international success for the provision of power services. Projects have previously included work in Uganda, St Kitts, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ghana and Jordan.   More recently, Interserve has secured several overhead line schemes in Malawi, the latest having been completed in 2007, and a contract with the National Power Authority of Sierra Leone for the supply, installation and repair of the Western Area transmission and distribution network.

“It is a great pleasure to be awarded such prestigious contracts” commented Keith Dorling, Managing Director of Interserve’s Industrial business.  “The team has already undertaken sterling work in the Caribbean and I am proud to continue our work there.”
