RMD Kwikform is pooling it’s international experience for the new High Speed Railway, currently under construction in Taiwan. RMD Kwikform Taiwan has been awarded several prestigious contracts on the railway, and is being assisted by RMD Kwikform’s offices in Korea, Australia and the UK.
For contract C240, Hyundai-Chunglin J.V have ordered 5 sets of Rapidshor, RMD Kwikform’s modular steel shoring system, and soffit forms, totalling over 400m in length.
On contract C230, Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company Ltd have also ordered Rapidshor, along with Megashor with steel beams and Special Trusses, to span to 40m between the pier heads.
A special shutter to form a portal opening is currently being erected. This was designed by RMD Australia and consists of over 150 tonnes of specially fabricated steel panels and radiused archwork.
